Ik schreef deze tekst een poosje geleden. Graag wil ik hem met jullie delen!
A musing on loving acceptance:
If you hit a butterfly with a shoe, it will die. Would you berate the butterfly? Blame it for being too weak? Tell it to take an example in the elephant, which would not be harmed at all when hit with a shoe? But if the butterfly could take the hit with the shoe it would not be a butterfly. It would not have its unique beauty. It could not fly, or float on the wind. Its vulnerability makes it what it is and gives it its strength: a beautiful butterfly. People have different vulnerabilities, physical or emotional. Will you berate them for being weak and tell them to simply be stronger? Or will you appreciate the beauty and wisdom that comes with the vulnerability?
Prachtig!
